GP & Health Professional Referrals
Beam Health welcomes referrals from GPs, specialists, paediatricians, allied health professionals, schools, and community services across our psychology, allied health, assessment, and mental health programs.
Our multidisciplinary team provides evidence-based, neuroaffirming support for children, adolescents, adults, older adults and families across New South Wales and Queensland. Referrals can be addressed to Beam Health or directly to an individual clinician, and submitted via email, BPAC SeNT eReferrals, or Community HealthPathways.

Child & Adolescent Psychology Referrals
Clients seeking Psychology services under Medicare require a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral from their GP. Referrals may be addressed to Beam Health or to an individual Psychologist where appropriate.

Adult Psychology Referrals

Aged Care Mental Health Referrals
Referrals for Aged Care Mental Health services are welcomed for older adults accessing support through a My Aged Care package. Referrals may be addressed to Beam Health or to an individual clinician where appropriate, and sent to agedcare@beamservices.com.au

Psychological Assessments & Cognitive Assessments
Beam provides comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
We accept both self-referrals and referrals from health professionals.
Referrals may be addressed to Beam Health or to an individual Psychologist where appropriate.

Counselling & Mental Health Referrals
Beam provides counselling and mental health support delivered by counsellors, mental health social workers, and Mental Health Nurses.
Clients seeking eligible Medicare-rebated services require a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral from their GP.
Referrals may be addressed to Beam Health or to an individual clinician where appropriate.

Behaviour Support
Beam provides Behaviour Support services primarily to participants with NDIS funding, as well as to private-paying clients.
Behaviour Support services do not require a GP referral. Patients and families can contact Beam directly to discuss suitability and access pathways.
GPs are welcome to contact our intake team if they would like to discuss suitability or coordination of care.

Speech Pathology
Clients seeking Speech Pathology services under Medicare (MBS M10 item numbers) must:
- Be under 25 years of age
- Have a referral from a GP, consultant physician or specialist
- Be suspected of, or diagnosed with, an eligible condition under the M10 list
Clients may also be referred under a GP chronic condition management plan (GPCCMP, previously CDM).
Referrals may be addressed to Beam Health or to an individual Speech Pathologist where appropriate.

Occupational Therapy
Clients seeking Occupational Therapy services under the GP chronic condition management plan (GPCCMP) require a valid CCMP from their GP.
Referrals may be addressed to Beam Health or to an individual Occupational Therapist where appropriate.

Little Sparks
GP referrals for the Little Sparks PHN-funded program can be addressed to Beam Health and sent to referrals@beamservices.com.au

Brighter Days
GPs can refer patients to the Brighter Days PHN funded program via the Consultmed Medicare Mental Health digital referral portal.
Please note: while the portal is branded Medicare Mental Health, referrals submitted for Brighter Days are received directly by Beam Health.
