Hi! I am Shayla, and I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2025 with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Newcastle in 2025.
I love supporting individuals to build confidence in their communication in ways that are meaningful, engaging, and functional. I work with a range of communication styles and support needs, including speech sounds, language development, and social communication, with a primary focus on working with children.
My approach is strengths-based, neuroaffirming, and tailored to each individual. I always aim to create a safe and supportive environment where each person feels understood and empowered to communicate in their own way. I value building strong relationships and work closely with families and other supports to ensure therapy is practical and carries over into everyday life.
My goal is to support each person to feel confident, capable, and connected in their communication across everyday settings.
