Hi, I’m Teddy Scott and I’m a counsellor here at Beam. I support clients across the lifespan from young children through to adults, with a special interest in children, young people, and their families.
I am warm, friendly, and approachable, and I place strong importance on building genuine therapeutic relationships with both clients and their parents or carers, as I believe trust and connection are the foundation for meaningful change.
My additional training includes play therapy, trauma-informed practice, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches, and I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Child-Centred Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and play-based interventions.
I work beyond talk therapy, considering sensory needs, movement-based regulation, emotional expression, and each person’s unique way of experiencing the world.
One of my core beliefs is that all children are good inside, and that behaviour is a form of communication that can be understood with care, patience, and connection.
I am passionate about helping people recognise their strengths, navigate challenges, and build healthier, more connected relationships with themselves and others over time in a supportive space safe environment.
