Our Cessnock Psychologists are required to adhere to a number of policies, rules and guidelines that protect the personal information of our clients and family members. We understand how sensitive this information is and place high importance on maintaining confidentiality. Any information provided to us is treated confidentially (including case notes, records, and psychological test results) and stored securely.
We will not disclose any information without the client’s consent or unless we are legally obligated to do so. If there is a need to disclose information (i.e. to a doctor, solicitor or third party) the client and/or parent will be consulted. The legal limitations to confidentiality will be outlined to clients in the first appointment.
