Our Story
Our existence is built on an idea. A solution to a problem…families, children and youth should have more convenient access to effective therapeutic supports from qualified and dedicated child and family focused allied health clinicians. The solution was Beam Health – a team of passionate, experienced and qualified Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists,Behaviour Support Practitioners and Child Psychologists in Newcastle, who pride themselves on providing the right supports for children, youth and families. We commenced our journey in a small practice in Cardiff in July 2016 and have grown to support many children and families across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie from our newly designed, family-friendly premises in Warners Bay. Online psychology services may be used as in addition to existing face-to-face consultation. Our Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists offer a professional and private telehealth service as well.

Our Psychology, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy experience lies in a range of difficulties your child, teenager or young adult may be experiencing, and we work together with families to reach the best possible outcome. Our Newcastle Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists are also available for online/telehealth or private video sessions for those are to visit our psychologist’s consulting rooms in person.

We offer a range of workshops, programs and groups designed for children, youth and parents to build skills and enhance capacity and wellbeing in areas such as behaviour management, speech and language, social skills, stress, moods, and autism. Many of these are grounded in strong research and evidence and can be funded through NDIS plans and Medicare rebates. We also run a number of workshops and training for professionals caring for, or working within child-related sectors such as trauma, attachment, child development and restricted practices.
