Cara is a Registered Psychologist who has completed her Master of Professional Psychology at The University of Newcastle.
Cara is a proud LGBTQIA+ ally who is passionate about working alongside children, young people, and their families. Cara has extensive experience working with neurodiverse identifying individuals and feels passionately about working from a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
Cara has worked with children, young people, and adults with varying mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and trauma. Cara utilises a range of evidence-based approaches to therapy including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Play-Based Therapy.
Cara takes the time to build strong and trusting relationships with her clients and their families, ensuring each client feels heard and understood. Those who know Cara would describe her as having a warm and bubbly personality and an optimistic approach to life.
Outside of work Cara enjoys spending time with her friends and family, taking road trips, and walking outdoors.
