EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

We are taking expressions of interest for our brand new Literacy Intensive School Holiday Group during the July school holidays!

There will be 4 group sessions designed for children of all levels and abilities to review and learn key literacy skills. The skills are fundamental for reading, writing and spelling and will be taught using a systematic, synthetic phonics program. This group would be suitable for children who may have a diagnosed learning disorder or who may be having difficulty with literacy skills in the classroom.

The group will be facilitated by our Speech Pathologists Kirsti Fuhrmann and Rebecca Gillogly who are trained in using the Sounds Write phonics approach.

📖 Participants will develop an understanding of:

• Phonological awareness skills (segmenting, blending, phoneme manipulation)
• Knowledge of sounds depending on their current ability
• Reading fluency

The activities in each session will be tailored to the needs of your child and will help them to extend their skills learnt in the school environment.

🌟HOW MUCH?

The 4 session group costs only $300 (which works out to be $75 per session).

NDIS funding may be available to use for the group payment. You will need to check with your provider.

🌟PAYMENT

50% payment is due upfront to secure your child’s place in the group with the remaining balance payable by the end of the first week

🌟WHEN AND WHERE?

The sessions will be delivered in person at our Warners Bay Clinic. Dates and times to be confirmed.

A 15 minute screening session will be required with the child and parent on arrival.
