Mackenzy is a friendly and empathetic Social Worker with a passion for supporting individuals to discover their strengths and increase their quality of life.
Mackenzy has experience working with children, adolescents and families across a range of areas including complex trauma, mental health, cognitive disabilities, family therapy, grief and loss, and support around education and vocation. Mackenzy is a strengths based, trauma informed clinician who ensures her clients are empowered throughout their time together to feel safe and respected. Mackenzy uses a range of therapeutic modalities including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Flash Technique (FT). With a strong focus on developing the therapeutic relationship, Mackenzy works from a person centered approach ensuring all clients receive an individualised and tailored counselling experience.
Outside of work, Mackenzy enjoys spending time with her family and dog as well as unwinding on the lounge watching her favourite shows.
