At Beam, we believe mental health support should be available at every stage of life. As we’ve spent more time listening to older adults and their families, it’s become clear that many people aged 65 and over struggle to access the psychological support they need—especially when life brings change, loss, or increased health challenges.
That’s why we’re proud to be expanding our services for older adults.
Mental health support through your Aged Care package
If you receive funding through My Aged Care, you can now access mental health counselling with Beam. Sessions are provided by a qualified practitioner and invoiced directly to your aged care provider, meaning less stress and more focus on your wellbeing.
This allows you to receive consistent, professional support while continuing the care you already have in place.

Support that understands later life
Our clinicians are experienced in working with older adults and understand the unique challenges that can come with ageing. We offer:
- One to one counselling
- Group therapy programs designed specifically for older adults
We support people experiencing:
- Anxiety and low mood
- Depression
- Grief and loss
- Adjustment to health changes, retirement, or life transitions
- Feelings of loneliness or isolation
Working with Aged Care Services
We also partner with community aged care providers and residential care facilities, helping bring mental health care directly into familiar, comfortable settings wherever possible.
You’re Not Alone
We’ve already seen how powerful this support can be, with clients telling us how much these services have improved their wellbeing and sense of connection.
If you or someone you care for is aged 65 or over and receives a My Aged Care package, we’d love to help explore whether this support could be right for you.
