Kathleen takes a playful and curious approach when working with children, young people and their families to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe in the therapeutic environment. Kathleen is passionate about supporting individuals and families to understand the purpose behind a behaviour and using this knowledge to develop new skills for more effective communication. She is also a firm believer in evidenced based practice and working in a holistic framework to provide informed and consistent support.
Outside of work, Kathleen spends her time with family and friends, watching home renovation shows and trying to be a better cook.
Megan

Megan is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties and mental health issues. She has an extensive background in the impact of trauma. Megan has a particular interest in the provision of professional supervision and promoting reflection in clinical practice. She is an AHPRA approved supervisor.
She is passionate about building a relaxed, enjoyable and safe environment for her clients to assist them to reach their goals. Megan has worked extensively supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma and stress, attachment difficulties, mood disorders and behavioural concerns through the delivery of individual therapy, group work as well as therapeutic parenting programs. Megan utilises a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches in her work including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TFCBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing’ EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Megan has three young children and in her spare time enjoys holidays with her family in their caravan and spending time with family and friends.
Melissa

Melissa is a Registered Psychologist and has experience working with children, young people and adults with range of mental health and behavioural needs. Mel is intensely interested in all areas of psychology, however special interest areas including working with children and teens with Autism and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, mood and anxiety concerns, trauma, interpersonal concerns, parenting support, and multicultural mental health. Mel is a LGBTIQA + ally. Another area Mel is interested in is the provision of supervision to Psychologists and she draws on both her clinical and leadership experience to provide reflective supervision sessions. Mel is a Board Approved Supervisor.

She has worked with families in some amazing places, including rural and remote parts of Australia, and has volunteered her time to work with people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Sally has worked with children, youth, families and professionals in a community services context, with a special interest in trauma and attachment. Sally’s enthusiastic manner helps to develop safe and comfortable relationships with children and their families. Sally is committed to providing evidence-based interventions that are client-centred, creative and focused on children’s strengths and interests, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, as well as creative therapies and teaching relaxation and mindfulness. Sally is an LGBTQIA + ally.

Grace is a Registered Psychologist who is extremely passionate about improving the lives of the children, adolescents and families who she works with. Grace is an incredibly bubbly, engaging and friendly clinician which allows her to easily establish rapport and build strong therapeutic relationships with people from all walks of life.
Grace has significant experience working with children, adolescents and families in addressing many psychological issues including anxiety, depression, behavioural concerns, trauma, stress and adjustment issues. Grace is passionate about helping children and adolescents to develop their ability to identify, understand and manage their own emotions.
Grace is experienced in delivering a number of evidenced based therapeutic interventions including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Grace also has experience in administering a range of Cognitive and Adaptive Assessments.
Outside of work Grace has a passion for animals and adores her two rescue cats, she also loves to be around family and friends.
Courtney

Courtney is a Registered Psychologist with experience working with and supporting young people and their families. Courtney has also spent a number of years working in rural NSW with children and their families in the school system, which further developed her passion for working with and supporting young people and their families.
Courtney strives to provide a therapeutic and playful space that is safe and supportive through a warm and enthusiastic manner and focusing on children’s strengths and interests. Courtney has also had experience in conducting cognitive and behavioural psychological assessments.

Courtney is interested in all areas of children’s mental health and can help with concerns around anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, school anxiety, anger, emotional regulation, and behavioural difficulties.

Brady is a Registered Psychologist who has experience working across the lifespan, in a range of settings. Brady has an interest in most areas of psychology but has a special interest in working with adults and teenagers who have experienced trauma. He also has an interest in personality disorders, interpersonal difficulties, anxiety, depression, OCD and panic disorders. Brady uses a range of therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema therapy. He creates safe, relaxed and supportive environments for clients to reach their full potential.
In his spare time he enjoys watching soccer, surfing and spending time with his family and friends.
Leah

Leah is a Registered Psychologist, with a Bachelor of Psychology and Masters of Professional Psychology. Leah worked as a disability support worker across Newcastle for many years before moving into School Psychology where she continued to work with young people with disabilities and their families (from Early Intervention/Preschool age through to High School age). She was the Team Leader for a region of School Counselling service, and has also worked for NSW Health with young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Leah is passionate about working holistically with families and has particular experience in supporting young people struggling with chronic suicidality, self-harm, school disengagement, and/or high-level emotional dysregulation.
Leah uses a variety of evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, as well as art and play therapies. In everything she does, Leah incorporates fun and creativity. Leah also has experience in running group work for young people, and completing a range of psychological assessments.
Outside of work Leah spends all of her time showering her giant dog with love (and the rest of her family too) – and resisting the urge to adopt a trillion more animals.

Cassandra is a Registered Psychologist who is passionate about working with children, adolescents and families. Cassandra is an incredibly warm, caring and dedicated clinician who places the upmost importance on creating safe and trusting relationships. Cassandra draws on client-centred, strengths based and holistic approaches to foster greater well-being.
Cassandra has experience working with anxiety, depression, behavioural issues, complex developmental trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attachment difficulties and developmental disorders such as ASD, ADHD and intellectual disability. Cassandra has a special interest in developmental trauma and attachment work and she incorporates attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches with evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Functional Behavioural Analysis and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In addition to this Cassandra is experienced in administering a range of psychometric assessments (cognitive, adaptive and mental health).
Outside of work Cassandra loves spending time with her family and her golden retriever, Bailey. She also enjoys going to the beach, playing soccer, reading books and online shopping!

Michelle is a registered Psychologist with five years experience working with children, young people and their care teams. Michelle also has knowledge and experience working with chidden and young people within the OOHC system who have experienced complex trauma.
Michelle is friendly, approachable and committed to working alongside the children and young people she supports. Michelle works to provide a space for all her clients to feel heard and to holistically work with them and the people around them to achieve the change they would like.
Michelle is experienced in working with a variety of presentations including trauma, behavioural challenges, anxiety, stress, sleep problems, adjustment issues, depression and attachment difficulties. Michelle is trained in delivering evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, trauma informed practice and other creative and play based methods. Michelle is also experienced in administering a range of psychological tests such as cognitive and behavioural assessments.
Away from work, Michelle likes to spend time with her family and friends, cuddle up with her two dogs to watch a movie or get outside for some exercise, particularly soccer, jogging or a long walk.

Holly is a Registered Psychologist with qualifications in both education and psychology. She is passionate about early intervention to improve mental health and wellbeing in young people and has several years’ experience working with youth within the public school system and in private practice. Holly has provided support to children and adolescents experiencing a range of difficulties and mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, school disengagement, and behavioural difficulties. She is also experienced in administering a range of cognitive, adaptive and behavioural assessments.
Holly incorporates a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches in her work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She takes great care in developing strong, therapeutic relationships with young people and their families, providing a warm, caring, and collaborative approach. Holly also has experience providing support to young people with developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability and is skilled in tailoring interventions to meet the individual needs and strengths of her clients.
Holly has two young children and outside of work she loves spending time with her family and friends, playing the piano, and going on bushwalking adventures and trips with her family.

Georgia is a Registered Psychologist who has completed her Master of Professional Psychology at the University of Newcastle in 2021. Georgia has experience working with children, adolescents, and their families with a variety of mental health, behavioural and educational challenges. Georgia is especially passionate about working with those that identify as neurodivergent and has experience delivering early intervention services to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Georgia is equally interested and dedicated to addressing a wide range of presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, attachment, challenging behaviours and learning difficulties.

Shay is a Provisional Psychologist who has completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) with Newcastle University and Master of Professional Psychology with Macquarie University. Shay is passionate about supporting children and their families to improve well-being and mental health. Shay has three years experience working for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and supporting her participants with a wide range of mental health challenges.
Shay is particularly interested in administering psychological assessment and providing evidence-based treatment solutions to complex presentations. She believes in building a strong and supportive therapeutic relationship with her clients and approaching sessions with a positive, gentle and non-judgmental stance.
Outside of work, Shay enjoys spending time with her friends, family and two golden retrievers. She also loves traveling the world and immersing herself in different cultures and experiences.

As a trained Tuning in to Kids facilitator, Laura also supports parents with emotion coaching and understanding why behaviour happens and, importantly, how to develop skills and strategies that work to promote positive communication and connection. Working with school and education teams, Laura also offers support that enables children to thrive in their learning and social environments. Laura offers a warm and empathetic approach to therapy, incorporating a variety of therapeutic skills and evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Erica is a registered psychologist who has experience working with children, young people and families. She is passionate about supporting children’s well-being and mental health and strongly values the importance of developing trusting and reciprocal relationships with clients to foster positive outcomes.
Erica has worked in school organisations and understands the importance of viewing children in the context of the systems around them. She is passionate about working with individuals’ support systems to promote consistency and a holistic approach. Alongside supporting those who have concerns around anxiety, emotion dysregulation and attachment difficulties, Erica has a particular interest in psychological assessment and helping families to gain further understanding of their child’s strengths and identify areas in need of greater support.
Erica has completed her Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) and hopes to gain her endorsement as an Educational and Developmental psychologist. She has a particular interest in attachment and looks forward to further developing her skills in this area.

She is organised and proactive in helping clients identify and achieve their goals while providing strategies to assist them in increasing their independence and overall well-being.

Sam is passionate about helping clients understand the world around them, using a curious and compassionate approach. Sam’s style is relaxed, very play-based and neurodiversity affirming. Sam loves using techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy with her clients.

Riley is particularly interested in administering psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions. He believes in building a strong and understanding therapeutic relationship while fostering a non-judgemental and positive environment.
Outside of work, Riley enjoys watching Rugby League, spending time with friends, and taking care of his two foster cats!
Alexandra

Alexandra is a Registered Psychologist with experience working across the lifespan. She obtained both her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Master of Professional Psychology from the University of Newcastle and has experience providing evidence-based intervention services as well as a range of psychometric assessments as part of the diagnostic process.
Alexandra loves working within a multidisciplinary team providing tailored services to clients and their families, supporting them to thrive and reach their individual goals. Alexandra believes in the importance of trust and a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for successful client outcomes. She practices with a focus on attachment and aims to provide a warm, relaxed therapeutic space for clients.
Outside of work, Alexandra loves to read, cook and spend time at the beach with her dog. She also loves snowboarding and travelling whenever she has the chance.

Having previously founded and directed a national corporate training business and worked with clients to develop leadership skills and manage workplace stress and conflict, Melinda is passionate and innately curious about human behaviour and personal and professional development. Melinda has a strengths-based approach and believes all individuals hold within them the unique capacity to expand their perspective, heal, grow and ultimately enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Melinda works with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds for a range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues and core values/goal setting. Melinda concentrates on providing a safe, empathic space and provides evidence-based treatment interventions, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy that are tailored to meet the goals of each client.

Lauren is a Registered Psychologist who obtained a Master of Professional Psychology and is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Lauren is also a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI).
Lauren uses a person-centred approach to therapy, meaning she places importance on getting to know you, your needs, and your strengths before tailoring the style of therapy to suit the individual. Lauren works with individuals and couples for all issues, specifically interpersonal relationship issues, trauma, and an array of mental health diagnosis.
Lauren is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness-based approaches. She works with couples and families using a systems approach, ACT and Gottman method therapies.

Anne

Anne is a Provisional Psychologist who has been practicing since October 2022. She holds a Master of Psychology degree and spent time conducting research and working with marginalised populations. Her clinical interests include trauma work, and autism spectrum disorder.
In therapy, Anne aims to establish a warm, enthusiastic, and at times playful environment to build a positive therapeutic relationship. She has experience in various areas including fostering self-esteem, emotional regulation, grief processing, and social skills. Anne draws from a variety of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT). She also incorporates creative and play therapies as appropriate.
Anne also has experience conducting psychological assessments of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, specific learning disorders like Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia, and various mood/anxiety disorders.

Alice enjoys supporting clients to thrive. For clients, this may feel like they are heard, understood, and empowered to overcome challenges, fears, or mental pain to reach their goals. For others, it may mean support to explore and value their unique identity and strengths. Perhaps it looks like aid with positive adaptions at home, work, or school. It may be collaboratively building the motivation and skills to break unhelpful habits or connect to who and what is most important. Support looks different for each person because everyone has different values, goals, strengths, and needs. Alice is passionate about adapting evidence-based tools and techniques for each client. She prioritises equal relationships so that clients feel safe, respected, and comfortable talking about what’s working for them and what isn’t.
The core of her approach is that all people thrive when they can, yet at times we all need a little help along the way. Her experience includes working with clients on a range of mental health needs and goals, with neurodivergent children, young people, and their families, and with adults in crisis. She enjoys working collaboratively with children, teens, adults, and families using techniques that include Cognitive Behaviour Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, neurodiversity-affirming approaches, and attachment-based parenting support. After completing a research doctorate in psychology, she worked in many interesting fields before circling back to psychology after realising her passion was supporting others to reach their goals.
When not at work, she can be found in nature surfing, mountain biking, and walking with her husband and two teenage boys.

Nadia is a Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), Master of Professional Psychology, and also holds a Social Communication (Marketing and Advertising) degree from her country of origin Brazil.
Nadia has been practicing in Australia since 2019, initially as a face-to-face counsellor for Lifeline, having worked in private practice, inpatient group and drug and alcohol settings. Delna is a Speech and Language Pathologist with over 10 years experience working in schools and providing support to individuals with Autism and other disabilities. Delna has worked in Sydney and London, across a variety of special needs schools, community-based services, private practice and early intervention centres.
Delna is passionate about ensuring each individual has the opportunity to reach their full communicative potential. She holds a special interest in expressive communication and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and likes to work together with families and professionals to ensure an integrated, holistic and well-supported approach. Delna recently conducted an action research project looking at the development and implementation of individualised AAC systems as a school-wide approach.
Delna has a sound understanding of the national curriculum and is currently completing a Masters of Primary Teaching. Delna established the Therapists in Disability and Schools Network in Sydney and remains an active member.

Sharon seeks professional development opportunities to be able to incorporate current researched approaches and ideas into her service provision. For example, Sharon has undertaken training in ‘Understanding the Autistic Neurotype’, Hanen More Than Words, Authentic AAC, Sounds Write Literacy Program, and DIR Floortime®. Sharon has experience in delivering speech therapy via telehealth (e.g. Zoom/Skype). Sharon appreciates and utilises the benefits of a holistic and collaborative approach to the delivery of speech therapy services.

Georgia’s interest and passion for speech pathology was fuelled by her childhood experience of needing the aid of a speech pathologist to overcome some speech impairments. When she’s not working, Georgia spends her time with friends and family, doing her favourite activities such as swimming, art and reading. Her family has two cute Labradors, who she enjoys spoiling with belly-rubs and treats.

Kirsti is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with experience in private practice and within schools. Kirsti has spent the last 2 years working in Penrith, nearby her hometown in the Blue Mountains. She decided 2022 was a year for a sea change, and has returned to her University town of Newcastle.
Kirsti is passionate about building relationships with children and their families to provide a holistic approach to speech therapy. She is particularly interested in speech sound disorders, social communication, literacy development and providing education to parents and teachers.
Kirsti has training in the Sounds-Write Literacy Program and LEGO based social communication therapy. She has extensive experience in using these programs within her individual therapy sessions and in group therapy.

Through therapy sessions, Clare uses a variety of play-based and functional activities to ensure they fun and meaningful, whilst working towards your child’s goals. Prior to graduating Charlee was working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant within the community and a mental health ward in a local hospital.
During her studies, Charlee completed various clinical placements working with people across all lifespans and within an array of environmental settings. Her caseloads have included a widespread of conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, Attention Hyperactive Deficit Disorder, PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. Her time working with clients of these conditions have solidified her love for working with children and supporting others using a person-centred and neurodiversity affirming approach.
Charlee enjoys working with children and adolescents to achieve their goals predominately based on regulating emotions, sensory processing, and executive functioning. During his studies, Bentley has completed placements in various clinical areas, such as in community, hospital, and school-based occupational therapy settings. Bentley’s caseloads have included a wide variety of conditions, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder. Bentley has a strong array of skills in pediatric intervention, such as in gross motor skills, fine motor skills, executive function, and handwriting intervention. Bentley also has strong experience using therapy frameworks, such as the CO-OP approach.
Bentley is passionate about building rapport with his clients. Bentley enjoys building relationships and believes both client and family centered practice is pivotal to guiding intervention. Bentley believes intervention is most effective when children are comfortable being themselves, and therefore, building a strong rapport is essential.
Furthermore, as a swimming instructor of over 5 years, Bentley has extensive experience working with children. Bentley also holds experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the pediatric setting.

Mariza qualified as an Occupational Therapist in South Africa in 2000, whereafter she lived and worked in England in a variety of clinical settings with children and adults. Since 2012 Mariza has focussed her work on helping children overcome the challenges they have to participate in the activities that are important to them, whether these are rooted in sensory, motor, or self-regulation difficulties. Mariza also has a specialist interest in working with children who are twice exceptional, in other words they have the unique profile of being gifted together with having a disability.
Mariza moved to Australia with her family in 2022. She enjoys spending time with them exploring the country’s natural beauty, learning all about its rich and vibrant culture, and settling into the Australian way of life.

Lara is family-centred and has an interest in early brain development, as well as helping littlies get ready for big school. Lara has experience in trauma-centred care, fine and gross motor development and supporting children with sensory processing issues (to name a few). Lucy graduated from the University of Newcastle in April of 2023 with a bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours Class I) and is now registered with the Australian Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Lucy was previously working within a generalist NDIS OT role within a multidisciplinary team space. During this role, Lucy had experienced working with a diverse caseload, which included assisting people diagnosed with a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as schizophrenia, depression, bipolar and anxiety, as well as conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Intellectual Disability. Lucy gained invaluable experience across a range of areas, such as home modifications, emotional regulation, sensory modulation, handwriting skills and school based tasks. Lucy also gained experience navigating housing options and collaborating with supports within these housing contexts, including Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation.
Lucy has been lucky enough to experience a range of placement opportunities during her studies, spanning across acute hospital, stroke and neurological rehabilitation, school clinic, home modifications within the geriatric context as well as generalist MDT NDIS. Lucy has a strong interest working with paediatrics and young adults to assist them with engaging in activities that are meaningful in a fun, individualised and functional way.
Outside of work, Lucy enjoys training and competing in equestrian events and sporting activities. Lucy also loves going to the beach, participating in outdoorsy and active adventures and painting. Ghye graduated with Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney. Ghye has collaborated within both the community, school and clinic environment to assess and provide evidence-based intervention to children and young adults from 1 to 23 years in Sydney prior to moving to Newcastle in 2023.
In addition to his time within Paediatrics, Ghye has worked within rehab consulting field to guide and support management of injuries and coordinate supports for a varied caseload of physical injuries.
With experience in a varied caseload of ASD, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental Delay, low muscle tone and complex behaviors, Ghye aims to continually provide unique and family centered approaches to therapy. Ghye enjoys working to establishing cohesive goals and collaborating within a multi-disciplinary approach. Outside of his typical caseload, Ghye has a keen interest in managing complex behaviors, neuroscience and early fine/ gross motor development in toddlers. She has over 15 years experience working with children and adolescents with a trauma background, first as a Youth Working in Out of Home Care and then in her roles as a Counsellor. She has experience working with teens and adults in such areas as interpersonal stressors, complicated and diverse family systems, academic stress, providing parenting support/groups, school disengagement, anxiety and depression, childhood trauma, and complex mental health presentations.
Melissa is passionate about helping clients understand how their brains work in a clear and useful way. Kirsti has been employed as a counsellor for almost four years with an NDIS provider and enjoys working with participants and their families to reach their independent goals and support them to obtain optimum well-being. Kirsti uses a variety of modalities such as trauma informed therapy, play therapy, art therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness practice and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and works with clients using a person centred and strengths-based approach.
Outside of work, Kirsti enjoys time with her family, being a mum to three children and also loves art and animals.
Madelein

Madelein is a passionate and experienced Counsellor with a unique background. Madelein has a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and a master’s degree in counselling from the University of Queensland.
Madelein has an array of experience in working with adolescents, adults, and families across a range of areas including mental health, Complex trauma, eating disorders, personality disorders, depression, and anxiety. Madelein gained a range of experience through working at Headspace and in suicide prevention programs on the Central Coast. Madelein is registered with Australia Counselling Association (ACA) and Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation Australia (PACFA).
Madelein works from a client centred approach operating in sessions with empathy, compassion, genuineness, and empowering clients to become their authentic selves. Madelein is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive behaviour Therapy – eating disorders (CBT-E), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT).
Outside of work, Madelein loves to spend time eating pastries (Mostly croissants), drinking coffee at local cafes, playing team sports and spending time with friends and family.

Mental Health Practitioner

Pip was born in the UK and trained as a Registered Nurse for people with disabilities (Registered Nurse for the Mentally Handicapped). In 1994, she emigrated to Australia and in 2000 completed a Transition to Mental Health certificate in Sydney. She moved up to Newcastle and began working at James Fletcher Hospital in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and spending one day a week working at the Centre for Psychotherapy, learning Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
In 2006, she completed her Master of Nursing (Advanced Practice) at Newcastle University and then became a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, meaning she is required to maintain regular clinical supervision and mandatory professional development standards, to ensure her practice is current and of a higher standard than a Registered Nurse.
For the past 17 years, she has worked in both inpatient and outpatient hospitals as a nurse and also as a therapist, facilitating Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) groups. Pip has her own private practice and sees clients with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, grief, relationship difficulties and she has a lived experience as a carer. She is also a Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner and has found the 2 modalities work effectively together as they both explore emotion, language and patterns of thought, mindfulness, feeling and behaviour. Pip identifies as a member of the LGBTQI+ community, so particularly enjoys working with and supporting these clients, as well as people that identify as being neurodiverse.
Out of work Pip loves to travel, garden, go to the beach, volunteer at community events, play with her dogs and spend time with family and friends.

Mark is a person-centered therapist with expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) working with individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Mark has experience working with children, young people, parents, and providing support within school settings.
Additionally, Mark has experience in assisting individuals coping with severe mental illnesses as well as complex trauma. Mark has spent a number of years working at CAMHS with adolescents presenting with high levels of severity as well as piloting several programs working with teens in schools and has also worked for a number of years with adults in both mental illness and Drug and Alcohol services.
Sarah

Sarah is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with 18 years’ experience working with children, families and adults within Australia and the United Kingdom for both government and private practice.
Sarah has a particular interest in working with women & their partners across the perinatal period as well as parents and adults, who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, stress, grief and loss, survivors of domestic violence, parenting and attachment, adjustment following birth trauma, pre and postnatal depression/anxiety and family counselling. She has had many years’ experience facilitating groups for parents. Sarah is also trained as a Clinical Supervisor through UNSW and welcomes clinicians for supervision from all counselling backgrounds, as well as Social Workers, Nurses, Allied Health therapists and Nature Cure/ Natural Therapists.
Sarah ensures an individualised approach with each client, tailoring therapy to suit each person or family’s needs, focusing on improving personal and social well-being and promoting human rights.

Katie is a person-centred, trauma informed therapist with proficiency in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and in assisting individuals coping with severe mental illnesses. She enjoys supporting clients in both individual and group therapy.

Holly is passionate about building strong working relationships with her clients, to better assist them to achieve their goals. She employs a person-centred/solution-focused approach and utilises Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, while applying a trauma-informed lens to her practice.

A devoted mum to three children and a border collie named Poppy, she enjoys cooking, music & reading and treasures quality time with her family and friends.
Becky

Becky moved to Australia from the UK 14 years ago and left a career in marketing to be a scuba diving instructor in Nelson Bay. She worked for the Marine Park Authority as an administration officer for several years before taking a career break to raise her 3 children.
With a degree in Animal Biology and Post Graduate Diploma in Pet Behaviour Counselling Becky has a love of all things furry, feathered and scaly and a keen interest in the use of assistance animals and therapy pets.
Becky has experience with the NDIS system from a participant parent perspective and understands the challenges of juggling kids and therapy appointments.
In her spare time Becky loves keeping active and spending time with her family doing all things outdoors from kayaking to horse riding.

Alana has a diverse background with a degree in Medical Radiation Science where she worked as a Radiographer for 8 years before setting up multiple businesses which kept her on her toes for over a decade. Alana then followed her passion for helping patients where she worked in allied healthcare for the past 10 years.
Outside of helping the children and families at Beam Alana loves discovering new camping destinations and holidaying with her twin teenage children & husband. During the colder months Alana loves hitting the ski slopes and snow skiing with her family and friends.
The heart of her home is their adorable spoodle named “Jessie” who’s energetic antics and fun loving nature brightens everyone’s day.

Julie has a large family which continues to keep her busy as well as 3 dogs; 2 Maremmas and a Cavoodle. She is currently building in the Paxton area and is excited to begin her journey with the Beam team.

Away from work, Jo enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Loves the outdoors and spending time at the beach and running with her Kelpie Ned in the bush.
